The Assistant Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive medical care to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation. They also assist in managing athletic training facilities and ensuring safety during all intercollegiate practices and competitions.
Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field is required. 1-3 Years of experience in athletic training. NATA/BOC Certification, along with eligibility for state of Missouri medical trainer license. First aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and AED certified. Must have demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and sports medicine standards of care, ability to apply NATA/BOC code of ethics to care, excellent organizational and supervisory skills, strong communication skills, and a strong commitment to professional growth, demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment, and experience working in a comprehensive sports medicine environment.
Master’s degree in Athletic Training, Health Care, Exercise Science, or related field. Experience in an athletic training program at a collegiate institution.
