The Intervener provides direct support to a student with deafblindness throughout the instructional day, assisting the teacher in various activities as outlined in the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP). Responsibilities include supporting the student in the classroom, during physical education, and in personal health and hygiene activities.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree or paraeducator credentials preferred. Two years of experience working with students who have deafblindness or related needs, along with proficiency in American Sign Language, is required.
