Instructor – Youth Multi-Sports Camp
Our Youth Multi-Sports Camp is designed to introduce younger campers to a variety of sports by incorporating basic sport skills and equipment into modified age-appropriate games and activities that are lots of fun. Imaginations are captured while children improve coordination, balance, strength, eye-hand coordination and agility. Emphasis is on personal skill development, so campers are grouped with others of similar age and skills, while collaborative activities stress team participation in an inclusive atmosphere. Duties
Interact with families and campers (boys and girls, ages 6-10) in a positive, nurturing and enriching manner. Create and execute fun and engaging lesson plans and develop materials required for specific activity content and present them for approval to the camp director in a timely manner. Oversee all assigned activities and set-up equipment for the activity area. Supervise and manage all campers to ensure consistent engagement and safety for each camper during the activity. Provide enriching and creative growth experiences within the camp activities. Camp activities include Baseball/Softball/Kickball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Football, Lacrosse, and Soccer.
Qualifications
High school diploma; experience in activity; teaching experience; certified in activity or be open to early training (if applicable); superior problem-solving skills and ability to relate with campers, staff, and parents.
Preferred
Currently attending or graduated from college; camp employment experience.
Timeframe
Orientation begins the week of June 9. Camp runs Monday-Friday, June 15-August 7, with pack-away on August 8.
Wage
$17.50 per hour.
