Job description
Are you passionate about health, wellness, and making a meaningful impact in your community? We’re looking for motivated and compassionate volunteers to join our team as Integrated Health Interns, supporting initiatives that improve health outcomes and expand access to wellness resources. In this role, you will help bridge the gap between medical health systems and the Y, contributing to programs that empower individuals to live healthier lives. You will gain hands-on experience supporting evidence-based health interventions, including the National Diabetes Prevention Program, cancer survivorship programs LIVESTRONG and YOUTHSTRONG, and diagnosis-specific support groups and wellness programming.
As an Intern, You’ll
Assist in the coordination and delivery of health intervention programs, including the National Diabetes Prevention Program, LIVESTRONG, and YOUTHSTRONG. Help connect healthcare providers, participants, and Y resources to strengthen continuity of care Engage participants to enhance program retention, motivation, and overall experience Assist with tracking program outcomes and evaluating impact on community health Promote wellness initiatives and help expand access to integrated health services
Requirements
Students majoring in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Public Health, Recreation, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Health Administration, Pre-med, and other related fields. Individuals who are enthusiastic about integrated health and continuity of care, eager to learn, and committed to working collaboratively with others.
