Child Life Specialist

The child life specialist promotes the growth and development of pediatric patients by creating a therapeutic environment and providing developmentally appropriate education. They coordinate programming, facilitate therapeutic play, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to minimize psychological trauma for patients and families.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in education, child life, or a related field and have completed a 600-Hour child life internship. Proof of eligibility for child life certification is required, with full certification mandatory within six months of hire.
