Position: Teacher – Robeson County Multipurpose Home

Location: Lumberton, NC

What’s a Multipurpose Home? Our multipurpose homes offer residential care for court-involved youth, helping interrupt criminal behaviors and offering a fresh start. Our staff work directly with teens to teach new skills, change attitudes, and recover from past mistakes.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a dedicated Teacher to provide year-round, individualized education for up to 8 youth age 11-17. You’ll develop tailored curriculums that meet state standards while complying with NC Department of Non-Public Instruction regulations. Your work will directly impact the lives of young people facing challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement educational programs for residential youth.
  • Track attendance, maintain records, and meet state accreditation standards.
  • Develop personalized curricula based on students' grade levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required
  • 2+ years of teaching experience (preferably with adolescents within the target population).
  • Valid NC teaching certification is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working with youth in a non-traditional setting.
