Core responsibilities
The special education teacher manages a caseload of up to 10 students, implementing academic and behavioral programming while overseeing ieps. They also provide supervision to instructional assistants and aba therapists while collaborating with the bcba to develop student interventions.
Requirements summary
Candidates must hold a connecticut certification in special education or be eligible for dsap/Long-Term substitute status. Experience working with students with challenging behaviors and familiarity with applied behavior analysis are required.
