Core responsibilities

The counselor will assess, develop, and implement vocational rehabilitation plans for individuals recovering from substance use disorders. They will also facilitate vocational skills groups and coordinate with clinical teams to support client employment and educational goals.

Requirements summary

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in education, vocational counseling, human services, or a related field. Experience in vocational counseling within behavioral health care and a valid nys driver’s license are required.
