Candidates should be interested in teaching a full range of classes, from freshman English to senior English. Supervisory Responsibilities Supervise students in the classroom, on school grounds and educational trips Responsibilities Create a classroom culture of high achievement and student ownership of learning that helps foster students’ intellectual, social, and emotional development Provide daily instruction, including clear learning outcomes, well-designed lessons, and high-quality assessments aligned with ESHS’ curriculum and standards Practical technology skills, including using ESHS’s learning management systems (Blackbaud and Google Classroom) May be required to teach one virtual course section during the school day Serve as an advisor in the Student Advisory Program Demonstrate best practices in data-driven instruction, including inquiry and hands-on activities, demonstrations, lectures, and discussions Communicate regularly with families to identify students’ talents, interests, and needs and update parents regarding students’ achievements and progress Active commitment to enhancing our school community through involvement in committees and student life activities Collaborate with school-based staff and the ESHS community in meetings, regular analysis sessions, and professional learning designed to enhance student's learning experience and increase student achievement

  • Abilities: Prior teaching experience is highly preferred A desire to teach in a Catholic School committed to Catholic education and the formation of young women in Christian character Ability to teach all levels of study, from College Preparatory courses to Advanced Placement A strong interest in Literature and Language Exemplary character and demonstrated services to others Evidence of strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrate best practices in data-driven instruction, including inquiry and hands-on activities, demonstrations, lectures, and discussions Creativity and an ability to collaborate with colleagues Willingness and ability to contribute to an atmosphere and environment conducive to our girls' academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
