The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is seeking a dependable and caring Assistant Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, contributing to a positive classroom environment, and growing within the early childhood education field.

Our center provides a structured, play-based learning environment that supports children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through consistent routines and hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities: Support Lead Teachers in daily classroom activities and learning experiences

Help maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom

Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering or toileting, rest time, and transitions

Engage children through play, learning centers, and positive guidance

Support classroom organization and end-of-day readiness

Communicate professionally with families and team members

Follow all New York City Department of Health licensing requirements and center policies

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required

Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented

Strong communication skills and professionalism

Ability to meet all New York City childcare licensing and background requirements
