Special Education Teacher, [Cross Categorical Resource K-2]

The special education teacher coordinates and provides direct instructional programs while developing and implementing individual education programs (Ieps) for students. They are responsible for monitoring student progress, maintaining a safe learning environment, and collaborating with staff and families to meet student needs.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree and be eligible for a north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area. A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is also required, along with the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
