The assistant coach supports the head coach in team operations, including practice and game coaching, recruiting, and equipment management. They are also responsible for maintaining knowledge of sports rules and complying with college policies and risk management guidelines.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, while a bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and demonstrated knowledge and participation in volleyball.
The head coach delegate’s authority to the assistant coaches to carry out the following responsibilities:
Maintain a working knowledge of respective sports rules and regulations.
Comply with Waubonsee Community College policies and regulations.
Knowledge of and comply with the risk management guidelines.
Assist the head coach as assigned in areas of team travel, recruiting, practice and game coaching, equipment distribution and collection, and facility preparation.
Maintain a good working relationship with the Athletics Department personnel.
Exhibit professional appearance, conduct and behavior when representing Waubonsee Community College.
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
