The professor facilitates distance nursing education by implementing innovative teaching methodologies and managing student performance. They are also responsible for curriculum development, faculty mentorship, and active participation in academic committees.

Candidates must hold a terminal degree in nursing and possess at least five years of experience in higher education, preferably online. An active, unencumbered rn or aprn license is required, along with a certified nurse educator (Cne) credential or a commitment to obtain one within a year.
