Head Start Instructional Assistant

The instructional assistant supports the head start teacher in implementing educational experiences and maintaining a safe, healthy learning environment for preschool children. They are responsible for assisting with child assessments, maintaining accurate documentation, and fostering a climate conducive to learning.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or ged and hold or be enrolled in a child development associate (Cda) credential program. Strong communication skills and experience working with children in a team environment are required.
