Kid’s College Intern, Corporate & Community Services STATUS: Part time DEPARTMENT: Corporate & Community Services DIVISION: Academic Affairs REPORTS TO: Community Education Coordinator, Corporate & Community Services CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt MINIMIUM PAY RATE: $17 (Position is FWS Eligible) ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist with Lifelong Learning summer programming, specifically Kids College Camps. 2. Take primary responsibility for the health, well-being and happiness of participants 3. Assist with promotion and coordination of programs and events. 4. Perform related duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Current High School or College Student 2. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence. 3. Must be available to work at all JJC campus locations and provide own transportation. (Mileage to satellite campuses will be reimbursed.) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 1. Education student, and/or interested in a career in teaching 2. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency. 3. Demonstrated multicultural competence.
