- Function: Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis. Academic departments will contact potential applicants when there are available openings.
- Job duties include, but are not limited to: Provide clerical support and assist instructors and program staff with tasks such as coping, filing, and organizing instructional materials and documents. Take inventory of instructional supplies, equipment, and materials and maintain organized records of inventory levels. Make requests for supplies as needed to support instructional activities. Assist with administering and proctoring assessment ensuring adherence to testing protocols and confidentiality standards. Maintain current certifications on various assessments used in AEL. Attend in-service meetings and training sessions as required and accrue the minimum number of professional development hours mandated for the position to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to support AEL. Utilize the internal electronic timecard system to record hours worked and certify that all activities performed while clocked in are directly related to grant-funded initiatives, ensuring adherence to grant requirements and funding regulations. Ensure timely submission of all required supporting documentation, such as training certificates and attendance documentation, to the designated personnel. Failure to submit documents promptly may result in adverse consequences, impacting program compliance and funding eligibility. Maintain accurate records for assigned classes or program activities, including attendance sheets, assessment scores, and other pertinent data. Assist with student retention by connecting with students who stop attending class and refer the student to the respective area for assistance. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned. Part-time – hours vary but do not exceed 19 hours per week College benefits do not accrue with this part-time position.
