Duties and Responsibilities

Supports student success by preparing curriculum, including writing syllabi, developing new courses, selecting textbooks, etc.; Developing and teaching Humanities classes using traditional and alternative delivery methods; Teaching on campus and at offsite locations, including local high schools; Assisting in the advisement of students; and serving on various assigned college committees. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Master's degree in Humanities OR Master's degree with 18 graduate hours from any one or a combination of the following areas: Philosophy, English Literature, Arts, History, Classical Studies, and Humanities; Teaching experience at the community college level desirable; ability to teach using multiple delivery methods, including online and hybrid instruction; Demonstrated ability in working with culturally diverse populations; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one's value to the institution; Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration as long as Southern Association (SACS) minimum educational credential are met; Physical Demands Able to traverse campus and classrooms; able to see, hear, and talk; able to drive to off-campus location
