The adjunct instructor will serve as a clinical instructor for nursing students in community-based settings. They are responsible for reporting to the Director of Nursing and managing student clinical experiences.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university with at least (6) graduate semester hours in nursing content appropriate to specific teaching responsibility. Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Texas Up-to-date immunizations and annual TB screening Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check Three (3) years of non-teaching work experience in the field Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods Excellent written and oral communication skills Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration Desirable Qualifications: Master’s of Science in Nursing
