Position Summary

Harcum College is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Nursing Faculty member to join our on-site academic team. This full-time faculty position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing education through in person classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching, student mentorship, professional scholarship, and service to the College and broader healthcare community. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Nursing Clinical experience in area of expertise Previous experience in nursing practice and nursing education preferred Current PA RN license

Duties and Responsibilities

Develop courses within the curriculum based on the philosophy of the nursing program Comply with College policies regarding syllabi Collaborate with other faculty in developing course materials Utilize effective communication skills to impart knowledge and provide support through counseling Effectively plan, organize and execute the instruction Assess student needs and progress in both theory and/or clinical practice. Provide students with clinical and lab experiences that enhance theoretical classroom concepts Provide students with sources of current evidence-based practice information on the subject matter Utilize various teaching methodologies to facilitate the teaching/learning process among the traditional and adult learners Function as a role model for students Provide academic advisement and counseling for students Evaluate courses regarding content and teaching methodologies Meets requirements for agencies in the clinical settings Scholarship Maintain current knowledge of subject area Demonstrate continued professional development Maintain current licensure and CPR certification Assume responsibility for own personal and continuing education and developmental needs Service Actively participate in College-wide committees Share and utilize current new knowledge and trends in nursing practice Serve as a resource for faculty, students and community when indicated. Foster effective public relations Actively participate in professional associations Assist with preparation of materials for accreditation and evaluation Actively participates in Department Committees as assigned by Director Salary & Schedule: Open until filled. Salary Range
