What your day entails

You'll work a part-time, Monday–Friday schedule with flexible hours between 8

• 00
• AM and 5:00 PM, based on planning and event needs.

• As our Youth Event Assistant, you start your day reviewing the events calendar and refining a timeline for an upcoming family night-confirming vendors, finalizing a supply list, and coordinating volunteer roles so each station runs smoothly.
• You draft a concise flyer and email, set up sign-ups, and double-check that everything aligns with health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Throughout the day, you touch base with staff, walk through the event flow, and update your checklist.
• During the event, you guide set-up, welcome partners, and keep the schedule on track with a calm, friendly presence.
• Afterward, you track participation and write a brief summary-capturing wins, lessons, and next steps-so the next celebration is even better than the last.

What we need from you

• Experience in event planning, community engagement, or school-based coordination
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with families and young children
• Experience in early childhood education, nonprofit, or school settings
