Job description

  • Rising Star Preschool, located in San Diego, CA, is seeking a dedicated full-time Human Resources Specialist to join our team. The compensation for this role is $22 per hour, accompanied by benefits. Aside from earning great pay, you can also enjoy the following benefits:

What's your day like?

  • In this Human Resources Specialist role, you will approach each day with a focus on ensuring that our preschool is staffed with qualified educators and support personnel.
  • You will source, screen, and hire candidates, coordinate interviews and background checks, and oversee the onboarding process.
  • Maintaining compliance with licensing regulations and staff-to-child ratio requirements will be a central responsibility.
  • You will facilitate new hire orientation, maintain records for staff training and certifications, and support ongoing professional development.
  • The position requires diligence in record keeping, adherence to local childcare and labor regulations, and accurate tracking of clearances and documentation.
  • You will address employee concerns and performance matters, assist with evaluations and improvement plans, and promote a positive and professional workplace environment.
  • The role also encompasses supporting payroll processing, attendance tracking, benefits administration, and contributing to the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
