Position Overview The Physical Education Teacher supports the mission of Preston High School by promoting physical wellness, confidence, leadership, and teamwork in young women.
The teacher designs and implements a dynamic, standards-based curriculum that fosters lifelong fitness habits while encouraging resilience, sportsmanship, and self-discipline within a faith-centered environment.
Essential Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with New York State Learning Standards for Physical Education.
Provide instruction in team sports, individual activities, fitness training, strength and conditioning, and wellness education.
Promote lifelong health, personal goal-setting, and positive body image.
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Integrate leadership development and collaboration into physical activities.
