Special Education Teacher- Extended Content Standards II

Coordinates and provides direct instructional programs for special education students while developing and implementing individual education programs (Ieps). Monitors student progress, maintains classroom discipline, and collaborates with school staff and families to support student learning needs.

Requires a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and a valid north carolina professional educator’s license in an exceptional children’s teaching area. Candidates must also possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds.
