The APP will work collaboratively with the orthopedic trauma service to provide high-quality care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities include triaging patients, coordinating care, and participating in the education of students and new employees.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner or have completed an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program. Current New York State licensure and national certification are required for both roles.
FNP or PA FT position available, primarily days. Weekends and evenings as required. Work collaboratively with busy orthopedic trauma service and all members of the health care team to provide high quality care to Orthopaedic Trauma patients. Function independently and with supervision in the outpatient setting to triage and coordinate the care of orthopedic trauma patients. Prior APP experience or orthopedic experience preferred. Strong communication and clinical skills required. Must be eligible for billing.
Nurse Practitioner Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner. Physician Assistant Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
