The teacher will develop and implement high-quality, culturally responsive English Language Arts instruction while maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment. They are responsible for monitoring student progress through data, collaborating with colleagues, and building strong relationships with students and families.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree and hold or be on a path to obtaining a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student achievement in a diverse community are essential.
New Paradigm For Education (NPFE) is a non-profit Charter Management Organization (CMO) composed of educational practitioners, community advocates, and business leaders who have dedicated years of service to children. The High School English Language Arts Teacher will develop and maintain high-quality academic-focused instruction for all students. To achieve this, the teacher will utilize a high-quality curriculum, implement strong instructional practices, culturally responsive teaching practices, and effective classroom management skills. The High School English Language Arts Teacher will build strong and lasting relationships with students and families, identify and apply best practices in instruction and student achievement, and continuously implement feedback and seek growth.
