Core responsibilities
The crisis intervention specialist provides educational and behavioral support to students while managing school crisis plans and de-Escalation training. They also collaborate with staff to improve classroom management and assist in the development of behavior intervention plans and ieps.
Requirements summary
Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent and hold an i.s.b.e. Paraprofessional or substitute teacher certificate. Knowledge of child development and therapeutic interventions is preferred, along with cpi trainer certification.
