Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging math lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Provide personalized support to help students master concepts in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, precalculus, calculus, and beyond.
- Teach critical thinking and problem-solving strategies to enhance students' mathematical reasoning.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Use various teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special needs or English language learners.
- Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and tests, providing constructive feedback to facilitate growth.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications
- Master's/Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, education, or a related field from a reputable US university(required).
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Attention to detail and ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
- Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with teenagers.
- Interest in college counseling and STEM-related careers is a plus.
