Job description

  • Best Point Education and Behavioral Health is seeking an Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist to provide school‑based mental health services to preschool‑aged children and their families in the Northwest School District.
  • This role supports students enrolled in Hamilton City Schools’ preschool programs, with services delivered on‑site at Fairwood Elementary School.
  • This position will also include providing wrap around care and have a special emphasis on caregiver engagement.
  • This position will also include working with families of preschool students connected to services either in the school, home or community setting.
  • This role provides diagnostic assessments, individualized treatment planning, and counseling services to children, families, and caregivers in a variety of settings.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience working with preschool and families
  • Active licensure required: LPC, LSW, MFT, PCC, LMFT, or LISW
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications
  • Strong documentation and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual, group, and family therapy in both office and community settings
  • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments and develop client-centered treatment plans
  • Provide crisis intervention, stabilization, and ongoing case monitoring
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in line with agency and licensure standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (schools, healthcare, courts, etc.)
  • Attend staff meetings, required trainings, and maintain licensure requirements
  • Utilize culturally responsive approaches to support diverse families

Compensation & Benefits

  • 12-month positions starting at $50,000/year and goes up depending on experience
  • 10-month positions available as well
