The assistant teacher supports the lead teacher in providing respectful, compassionate care for infants aged 3 to 18 months. Responsibilities include maintaining classroom supplies, assisting with daily transitions, and fostering a nurturing environment for children and families.
Candidates should be compassionate, patient, and willing to learn the RIE approach to infant care. The role requires strong teamwork skills and a commitment to supporting the mission of Ambrosia Montessori.
A RIE Infant Classrooms serves children 3 months of age to 18 months of age.
As an Assistant RIE Teacher in the Infant classrooms, you will be a 1 of 4 compassionate, patient guides for 9 infants ages 3 months to 18 months of age; a receptive, courteous, and graceful assistant to the RIE Lead teacher; and a responsive community builder for the families in your classroom community.

For all full-time employees, Ambrosia Montessori will cover 100% of Monthly Health Insurance Premium; 100% of the Monthly Dental Insurance Premium; and 100% of the Monthly Vision Insurance Premium for the employee only. Additional family members can be added; however, the cost of the family members is the responsibility of the employee and will be deducted from the paycheck. Health Benefit eligibility will begin at 60 days of employment.
Child Care All Employees will be eligible for free child care while employed. Free Child Care will be available during the working hours of the employee while they are working on site.
Holiday Pay All Employees will be paid for their scheduled time during school closure days. The exception to this rule will be if the employee has no accrued time off available AND they have taken the day before the closure off. In this event the employee would NOT be eligible for the paid closure, as they would be currently out of benefits for absenteeism.
Paid Sick Leave Sick leave will be accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Accrual begins at the first hour of work, but the benefit of sick leave can only be used after 30 days of employment.
Paid Time Off Paid Time Off will be accrued at 1 hour for every 40 hours worked. Accrual begins at the first hour of work, but the benefit of Paid Time Off can only be used after 30 days of employment. This accrual will increase over time.
