The Math Teacher is responsible for instructing students with special and general education needs while maintaining a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Under the general direction of the Director of Education, the Math Teacher is responsible for teaching students with special and general education needs. Carries out all job responsibilities with fidelity and accountability to the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles and Strategic Plan.
NYS Teaching Certification required or in process at time of hire. Successful completion of certification required within six months of hire date. Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited institution. Relevant teaching experience (three years minimum).
Experience in PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports) and Restorative Practice. Self-motived, strong verbal and writing skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, flexible and adaptable.
