Position overview
The Group Leader's general responsibilities are to provide intensive and extensive academic Assistance in developing and implementing program activities.
Maintain the day-to-day compliance of the After School Program.
This includes homework assistance, recreational activities, leadership development, education and career development, health & life skills, the arts, and sports & fitness.
Also maintain rules and regulations while always keeping the children’s need highest priority. services to children from ages 5-13 years of age, organize, teach and/or provide academic and recreational enhancement services to the ACDP program.

Key essential functions
Understand and enforce after-school program expectations, policies, and protocols.
Design and implement educational and recreational activities.
Actively participate in program-wide or division-wide activities
Facilitate the adherence to the afterschool schedule.
Supervise homework and other in-class activities.
Communicate with Program Coordinator about any schedule modifications or important behavioral or environmental issues
Demonstrate appropriate communication with families, teachers, staff, and children.

Report regularly to the Director of After-School Services and as necessary to the Agency Director of Educational and other program directors
Collaborate with the after-school staff at other after-school sites.
Organize special events as necessary.
Assist individual students with homework as time permits.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
Analytical, Communication and Organizational skills
2 years minimum of experience working with youth preferred.
Bilingual a plus.
Computer literate, including experience with Microsoft Office, local area networks and the Internet.
