Job description

  • Dream Nannies is seeking an engaging, and proactive nanny manager to support a busy family with a curious and energetic 2 year old boy and the overall flow of the household.
  • The day typically begins around 7:00 a.m., with some flexibility for an earlier start to assist with breakfast and getting the child ready for the day.
  • The ideal candidate will be highly interactive and intentional, taking an active role in fostering early learning through play, conversation, and exploration.
  • The child is bright, observant, and eager to understand how things work, with strong interests in vehicles, building, and hands-on activities, so a caregiver who enjoys teaching, encouraging independence, and guiding development in a Montessori-style approach will thrive in this role.
  • Support with ongoing potty training in a gentle, child-led manner is expected, along with creating a positive and confidence-building environment.
  • In addition to childcare, the role includes assisting with light household management to help keep the home running smoothly.
  • Responsibilities involve maintaining kitchen cleanliness, handling dishes with care, managing family laundry including hang drying, light meal prep, tidying shared spaces, and helping with occasional errands such as returns or quick store trips.
  • The family values someone who can take initiative, stay organized, and thoughtfully contribute to the home without needing constant direction.
  • There is also a senior dog in the home, so comfort with pets and helping maintain cleanliness is important. n addition to the weekday hours, there will be one to two Saturdays per month for a few hours to provide additional support.
