Emmanuel Christian School Position: Upper Elementary Classroom Teacher
The Upper Elementary Teacher serves students in grades 3, 4, or 5 by providing engaging, academically rigorous, and Christ-centered instruction. This role fosters both intellectual growth and spiritual development, equipping students to think critically, grow in character, and build strong relationships within a supportive classroom community.

Position Summary
The Classroom Teacher provides high-quality, Christ-centered instruction that supports students’ academic growth and spiritual formation. Teachers at ECS integrate biblical worldview into their subject area, foster a culture of respect and responsibility, and partner with families to support student development. This role is foundational in shaping students intellectually, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Primary Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in assigned subject areas. Integrate biblical worldview thoughtfully into daily teaching. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs. Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress. Maintain organized lesson plans and instructional materials. Utilize appropriate educational technology and instructional tools. Classroom Leadership Establish and maintain a positive, structured learning environment. Promote student responsibility, collaboration, and respect. Implement consistent classroom management practices aligned with school culture. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment. Student Development Support students’ spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growth. Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and problem-solving. Model Christ-like character in interactions with students and families. Identify and communicate student needs in a timely and professional manner. Family Partnership Communicate regularly and proactively with parents/guardians. Provide updates regarding student progress and behavior. Partner with families to support student success. Collaboration & Professionalism Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure instructional alignment and student support. Uphold all school policies and procedures. Maintain confidentiality and professional integrity at all times. Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (or relevant experience as determined by administration). Valid teaching license or ability to obtain (preferred). Agreement with and commitment to the mission, vision, and doctrinal statement of Emmanuel Christian School. Ability to integrate faith and learning naturally and authentically.
