- Since 1943, Bermuda Institute has been owned and operated by the Bermuda Conference of Seventh-day Adventist.

- Bermuda Institute is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year with qualifications and teaching experience at the middle and high school levels in the following areas:
English Language Arts Maths Computer Science Foreign Languages
Applicant requirements
Must be a college/university graduate with a minimum of one (1) years’ classroom teaching experience Must be able to use current and emerging technologies in learning and communicating with students. Must have great classroom management skills and the ability to relate well with students Must demonstrate drive and adaptability to work in an ever-evolving environment Must possess strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (verbal & written) Must be a practicing Seventh-day Adventist in regular standing who loves children, models Christianity, upholds the faith and values of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and possess the ability to foster faith development in students at Bermuda Institute
Applicants must provide the following items
An up-to-date resume along with certified copies of relevant qualifications A copy of current Bermuda Educator's Council License A current SCARS Certificate A certified police background check from each jurisdiction/country lived in the past 10 years Three references with email addresses, including one from your current supervisor and current pastor
Applicants must also be willing to comply with Bermuda Institute’s workplace COVID Testing policy as a condition of employment and be subjected to a Child Abuse Clearance verification from the Department of Child and Family Services.
Substitute rate is based on the denominational wage scale and policy determinations operating at BI.
