Purpose
The purpose of each teaching position at Eden Classical Academy is to partner with parents to train and disciple students to love the Truth as God has revealed it in His Word and His world. This position is a collaborative position that requires teachers to work alongside each other within the same classroom.
COURSES Grammar Homeroom Team Teacher A Team Teacher is someone who teaches within our K - 6 program. He or she will co-teach alongside another teacher in one grade level, in a dedicated classroom. The four primary subjects taught by these two teachers will be Math, Language Arts, History and Science (each teacher teaching two subjects). The subjects to be taught by each teacher will be discussed and determined during the interview process according to a person’s experience, skill, and Eden’s remaining needs.
CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION Work with your Lead & Team Teacher to create a Scope & Sequence plan that demonstrates the aims and objectives of your course(s) Prepare weekly lesson plans for respective subjects to include lectures, discussions, and lab experiments as appropriate for course subject material Provide prompt student assessment for submitted assignments in designated learning management system and as appropriate by electronic communication Counsel struggling students to achieve maximum learning potential Meet with parents of struggling students to develop an action plan for improvement. Include appropriate Lead as needed
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Attend all teacher workshops and trainings before the school year begins and after the school year ends Attend monthly Professional Development meetings Cultivate ongoing learning of your subjects and of the methods and principles of classical education
MISCELLANEOUS Remain involved in Eden school activities including but not limited to: Serve Day, Fundraising events and the Exordium
