- Louis.Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable School Nurse to support the health and well-being of our students and staff in a Catholic school environment.
- Job Responsibilities The School Nurse will provide day-to-day health services, including basic medical care for students and staff, first aid, and assessment of illnesses or injuries.
- Responsibilities include administering medications in accordance with physician and parent/guardian instructions, monitoring students with chronic health conditions, and responding promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.
- A key component of this role is maintaining accurate and confidential student health records, including immunization tracking, health plans, and incident reports, in compliance with state and local regulations.
- The nurse will also collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student health needs, communicate concerns, and promote continuity of care.
- The School Nurse plays an active role in health education by promoting healthy habits, illness prevention, and overall wellness within the school community.
- This may include developing health-related policies, supporting safety protocols, and providing guidance on issues such as hygiene, nutrition, and communicable diseases.
