Position: Middle School Girls Basketball Coach

Season: Mid-October 2026—February 5th, 2027

Location: Rudolf Steiner School

Compensation: Stipend of $4,500

Rudolf Steiner School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Girls Basketball Coach to lead and develop our student-athletes. This role is ideal for someone who values skill development, teamwork, and creating a positive, empowering environment for young athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate practices
  • Teach fundamental basketball skills, game strategy, and teamwork
  • Foster confidence, sportsmanship, and a love of the game
  • Prepare the team for interscholastic competition
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices and games
  • Communicate effectively with players, families, and the athletic department
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive team culture

Qualifications

  • Previous basketball coaching or playing experience preferred
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to motivate and connect with student-athletes of varying skill levels
  • Commitment to positive coaching and student development
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Schedule

  • Practices and games are held on weekdays after school
  • Occasional schedule adjustments based on gym availability and league play
