Schedule - Monday - Friday 8a - 6p/Saturday 9a - 3p Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with autism? As an RBT, you'll implement personalized behavioral interventions designed by a Behavior Analyst in various settings, including the child's home, school, and community. Newly Hired staff receive training to become certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Summary: Implements behavioral intervention for children diagnosed with autism, as designed by a Behavior Analyst, in the child’s home, school, or community.
Essential Functions: Implements behavioral intervention and therapeutic procedures defined by behavior analysts in areas of language, play, social, adaptive, coping, and other skills. Supports and provides intervention to patients in home, school, and community settings. Participates in meetings to clarify and update the client’s intervention plan. Collects data related to all therapy activities and completes clinical documentation as directed. Protects child’s right to confidentiality and maintains appropriate relationships with the client, family, and other professionals. Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in psychology, special education, speech or language, or related field, within 30 days of employment, required. Licensure Requirement: Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.
Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ability to gain certification within 90 days of employment, required. Newly hired staff receive training to become certified as an RBT and ongoing RBT supervision. Certification in Marcus Crisis Prevention Program safety training and other safety protocols within 60 days of employment, required.
Ability to problem-solve when novel or challenging situations arise. Demonstrated teamwork skills and willingness to seek and accept feedback. Proficiency with MS Office.
