Position Overview

The Learning Experience – Beltline is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support infant, toddler, or preschool classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to grow in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

Support Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities and routines Assist with play-based learning experiences aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment Support children during meals, transitions, toileting, and rest time Encourage positive behavior and social development Communicate professionally with families and team members Maintain compliance with Michigan childcare licensing standards

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required Childcare, daycare, or preschool experience preferred Early Childhood Education coursework or CDA a plus Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices preferred Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
