Job summary
The Preschool Aide at St. Lucy Parish provides a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children. Supports children’s emotional, social, and educational development through structured activities, play, and positive guidance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children at all times
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities including play, crafts, music, and early learning exercises
- Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and general hygiene
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment
- Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions
Qualifications
- Childcare experience preferred (daycare, preschool, babysitting)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children
- Work Environment
- Indoor and outdoor childcare setting
- Requires standing, bending, lifting, and active engagement throughout the day
