• Clement of Rome Catholic School supports the classroom teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for preschool students.
• This role assists with daily instruction, student supervision, and classroom organization while supporting the Catholic mission and early childhood educational goals of the school.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Pre-K teacher with daily classroom instruction, activities, and routines.
• Assist in supervising students during classroom activities, transitions, outdoor play, lunch, and dismissal to ensure safety and positive behavior.
• Help prepare instructional materials, learning centers, and classroom resources.
• Support students’ social, emotional, physical, and academic development through positive guidance and encouragement.
• Reinforce classroom rules, routines, and behavior expectations consistently and respectfully.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Provide individual or small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and administration regarding student needs or classroom activities.
• Uphold confidentiality, school policies, and diocesan guidelines.
• Model appropriate behavior aligned with Catholic values and the mission of the school.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting (preferred).
