Job description

Archbishop Curley High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Coach for our Cross Country (5K) and Track & Field Middle Distance program (800m–3200m). We are looking for someone who is committed to developing student-athletes both competitively and personally within a positive, disciplined, and team-oriented environment.

Located in Baltimore, Archbishop Curley High School is a Roman Catholic, college-preparatory institution rooted in the Franciscan tradition. The school is dedicated to the development of the “Curley Man,” who is challenged to reach his maximum academic and personal potential, becoming a man of faith, character, discipline, and service to others.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with planning and leading practices during the cross country and track seasons
  • Help athletes improve endurance, race strategy, strength, and overall performance
  • Promote accountability, sportsmanship, and a positive team culture
  • Support the growth of a competitive and positive program environment

Position Qualifications

  • Passion for coaching and mentoring young athletes
  • Willingness to obtain coaching certification if not already certified
  • Ability to develop effective training plans for middle-distance and distance runners
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Availability for weekend invitationals and championship meets

Pay Range

$2,000 - $3,000, per season
