- SUMMARY: The Intervention Teacher provides targeted academic support to students who need additional instruction to meet grade-level expectations. This role involves analyzing student data, planning and delivering small-group instruction, and monitoring progress to ensure growth. The Intervention Teacher collaborates closely with classroom teachers to align support with core instruction and school priorities. Strong instructional skills, adaptability, and a commitment to closing achievement gaps are essential. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed in alignment with RTI (response to intervention).

- DUTIES: Provide targeted small-group and/or one-on-one instruction based on scholar needs Analyze assessment data to identify skill gaps and group scholars effectively Develop and implement intervention lesson plans aligned to grade-level standards Monitor scholar progress regularly and adjust instruction as needed Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention with core instruction Maintain accurate records of scholar performance and intervention outcomes Support the implementation of school-wide academic priorities and initiatives Communicate scholar progress with teachers, families, and school leadership Utilize research-based instructional strategies and intervention programs Assist in preparing scholars for assessments through focused skill reinforcement Attend and provide feedback at RTI meetings Utilize Aimsweb Plus to administer Benchmark Assessments three times a year and weekly progress monitoring
Minimum Qualifications
TN educator license not required, but strongly preferred. Must meet highly qualified status for area(s) will be teaching. Teaching experience preferred but not required. Must possess a passion for the work itself. Must thrive in an innovative environment. Must work collaboratively to form creative solutions. Must have record of demonstrated expertise in their domain –grade-level, and in teaching literacy. Must demonstrate a growth mindset-Flexibility to learn new methods and present ideas to improve learning and the school. Must believe all kids can learn and achieve at high academic levels. Must commit to being an active part of a staff that will never tire in its efforts to have all our scholars succeed academically.
