Position Summary

  • To provide substance abuse and gambling education to Suffolk County Schools and Community Organizations to prevent the escalation of the addictive disease process. Essential Accountabilities: ADMINISTRATION:
  • Report statistical information and complete necessary reports to OASAS and agency
  • Develop presentations to be used for community education
  • Attend community events as needed OPERATIONAL:
  • Deliver presentations to community organizations/events regarding warning signs of abuse and overdose
  • Implement Model programs in Suffolk County School districts at various grade levels.
  • Provide in service trainings as requested by agency staff
  • Respond to requests for information about substance abuse, gambling and overdose prevention. OTHER:
  • Participate in agency trainings and those managed by OASAS.
  • Other duties as assigned Job QualificationsHigh School Diploma, with experience in addiction field, CASAC OR CPP certification preferred.
