Job Summary

  • We are looking for a female staff member to support a 7-year-old girl with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
  • This position involves providing assistance both in the community and potentially in the home setting.
  • Responsibilities include helping the consumer complete her ADLs.
  • The staff member will help the individual develop independent living skills, enhance safety awareness, and increase engagement in home and community environments.
  • In addition, the role involves planning and facilitating community-based activities that reflect the individual’s interests and modeling appropriate social behaviors to promote positive social growth and interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1

1 support in the home and community setting Assist and support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) (e.g., hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal prep, errands, light housekeeping) Encourage community integration (outings, social activities, volunteering) Implement goals outlined in the Individual Support Plan (ISP) Use prompting, modeling, and teaching strategies to promote independence Maintain a safe and supportive environment Complete accurate and timely documentation (daily service notes, EVV) Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and team members

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Ability to pass background check and drug screening CPR/FA and NCI (on-site training available)
