Job description

  • Assess, design, implement and evaluate instructional programs, and facilitate post-discharge placement for hospitalized children and youths in order to fulfill Children's annual school services contract with OSPI and Seattle School District.
  • Required Education and Experience Master’s degree in Education or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year teaching experience in public or independent school setting.
  • Required Credentials Current WA State Teaching Certificate.
  • Prior to the start of employment, individuals are required to submit a copy of a receipt directly to Human Resources (electronically) confirming they have completed the fingerprinting process as outlined by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).
  • Preferred Experience working as school counselor.
  • Experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Special education endorsement with experience teaching in a special education setting.
  • Three years teaching experience.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and state and federal regulations for this population of students.
  • Compensation Range $107,431.00 - $161,147.00 per year Salary Information This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year).
