Position Summary

The Substitute Teacher at Victory Life Academy provides continuity in the classroom by maintaining a productive and Christ-centered learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher. This role involves implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and supporting student learning while upholding the values and standards of the school.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Classroom Support
Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the regular teacher
Deliver instructional activities that support ongoing learning objectives
Maintain a structured and engaging classroom environment
Utilize available resources and technology to support instruction

Classroom Management
Establish and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
Enforce classroom rules and school policies consistently
Manage student behavior in accordance with school expectations
Maintain discipline while demonstrating patience, fairness, and respect

Student Supervision & Engagement
Supervise students throughout the school day, including transitions and assigned duties
Encourage student participation and engagement in learning activities
Provide assistance to students as needed to support understanding and completion of assignments

Communication & Reporting
Communicate effectively with school staff regarding classroom activities and any concerns
Provide a summary of the day’s activities, student progress, and any incidents to the regular teacher
