Job description

  • Child Start is actively recruiting for multiple openings in our early Head Start classrooms serving children ages 0-3, with positions available across Sedgwick county.
  • These are full-time career opportunities for dedicated, early childhood professionals.
  • A typical day working with Child Start in an early childhood classroom may involve: Encourage children to try new learning activities.
  • Assess each child’s development initially and update assessments throughout the school year.
  • Review the curriculum continually and write weekly lesson plans that incorporate all areas of child development (social/emotional development, physical and cognitive language development).

Requires

Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), (we have scholarships available to help with CDA completion) Relevant experience working with infants and toddlers. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds for various classroom and event needs. Pay is commensurate with experience.
