Responsibilities

Teaching Assistant (PRN) Valle Vista Hospital

Since 1983, Valle Vista Health System, a 132 bed facility located in Greenwood, Indiana, has been providing high-quality behavioral health care to the community. We offer care for a broad range of psychiatric and addiction disorders. We provide care to adults, and to patients as young as age five. Our programs include inpatient, outpatient and medication-assisted treatment for adults, and residential and inpatient treatment for children and adolescents. These programs are designed to help adults, children and teens learn the necessary skills to regain confidence, heal and successfully function at home, work, school and in their communities. Under the direction of the Teacher, the Teacher’s Assistant assists the teacher in providing students with educational programs that will enable them to reach their fullest educational potential.

Qualifications

Education: Years of experience can make up for formal degree. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience

Knowledge of current professional Education practice and techniques applicable to the care of behavioral students. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the same. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with other staff, management, and physicians. Analytical skills necessary to observe educational practice as well as observe and interpret human behavior accurately. Ability to organize and carry out responsibilities efficiently.
