Marvin's Camp Counselor

JOB SUMMARY Marvin’s is a division of campers ages 6 – 21 with Special Needs. The main object of a camp counselor is to ensure the safety, well-being and over all camp experience of your campers is held to the highest standard.

ABOUT YOU As a counselor, you would be working in a group of campers (number varies) alongside 1 to 2 additional counselors.

WHAT YOU’LL DO Supervise the group Organize and facilitate activities Encourage camper involvement Identify and respond to camper behavioral issues and needs Safeguard campers well-being Additionally, you will be asked to: Attend training and orientation prior to the start of camp Keep open communication between staff and Director Communicate with co-counselor to manage the group PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: 16 years of age or older Experience working with children/at a camp Experience with the Special Needs population (not required but preferred) Updated medical form CORE COMPETENCIES: Ability to communicate, organize, facilitate and carry out daily routines Fun, energetic and eager to participate

Camp dates are from July 6 - August 21, including a 2-day orientation beforehand Job Type: Seasonal
